Leevia’s story began on a rugby field in April 2013, in Rome, during the courses of InnovAction Lab. Driven by the common passion for innovation and technology, the team composed by Francesco Mancino, Diego Durante and Piero Borgo met, and the idea behind Leevia was born. In June 2013 Leevia won the prize for the best business idea during the InnovAction Lab finals, and received the first seed funding short after.
In September 2013, the team moved to Trent to develop and launch the platform, the first version of Leevia sees the light just a month after. The first project already sees big customers, such as BNL-BNP Paribas and Telethon, laying the foundation for what has become the mission of Leevia: spread the projects through the power of pictures, by leveraging on social networks as a medium.
During the stay in Trent, Leevia received awards in Italy, winning the prize for best ICT idea at the Global Social Venture Competition, and abroad, being listed among the finalists of the European Venture Summit in Dusseldorf.
In the following months we raised a public investment from Trentino Sviluppo and took part at the TechPeaks acceleration program, being listed among the best 5 business ideas, raising €300,000 of investment in less than a year.
